NewSpace 2010 Conference a Resounding Success
The Space Frontier Foundation’s NewSpace 2010 Conference successfully brought together representatives from both commercial and governmental space, sparking lively discussions about the future of the space industry. The hall was filled with space veterans, current industry leaders, and a younger generation who will carry forward the ideas discussed. All guests passionately took part in the discussions, along with over 12,000 online viewers, and the conference initiated new creative partnerships and plans.
Half Time in the Battle for the Frontier
There is something very American about a few patriotic heroes fighting off a massive and established foe bent on crushing their new ideas. Always in such tales there is a moment when the heroic band tastes its first victory and the enemy armies regroup and return to fill the horizon. The “Battle for the Frontier” in Congress is at just such a moment right now.

The path to the space frontier is blazed by the winners of the “Pioneer of NewSpace” and “NewSpace Journalism” awards, and this year they go to Art Dula and Miles O’Brien, respectively. Dula led the industry by creating innovative commercial space companies and O’Brien by brining public attention to NewSpace accomplishments.
“Vision of the Future” and “Best Presentation of Space” Winners Announced
The winners of the Space Frontier Foundation’s “Best Presentation of Space” and “Vision of the Future” awards have brought the possibilities and realities of space exploration to the public, sparking imaginations around the world. Fiction and non-fiction features play a role in informing and inspiring mankind to pursue its future in space and with these awards, contributions to both are recognized.
